About Us
Prime Care Physical Therapy, P.C. was established in February of 2005. Our facility is managed and owned by our dedicated treating therapists, Gina Palconet, PT, DPT and Maristela (Mari) Nevin, PT. Prior to establishing Prime Care, Gina and Mari worked as physical therapists in various clinical settings such as out-patient, in-patient, sub-acute and home health care. To keep current with the latest updates in physical therapy, Gina & Mari keep their membership current with the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
Prime Care Physical Therapy, P.C. is also the only facility in Orange County and vicinity offering comprehensive vestibular rehabilitation – a special field in physical therapy that deals with inner ear – related dizziness and imbalance. Our specialist, Maristela Nevin, PT, is the only therapist in Orange County with over 20 years of extensive experience and training in vestibular rehabilitation.
Our practice focuses on all aspects of orthopedic, neurologic and vestibular rehabilitation. We see patients ranging from children to adult population. We take pride in having a team of dedicated therapists and office staff who are very passionate in what they do. Our greatest source of referrals comes from past and current patients who have experienced the difference in how we provide physical therapy. We also often hear from our new patients that their doctor specifically recommended our facility after having been to other physical therapist without success.
Our mission is to provide compassionate, effective and one on one physical therapy services to patients with various physical impairments as a result of a recent or past injury.
SUPERVISING THERAPISTS
 | GINA PALCONET, PT, DPT Gina earned her doctorate degree from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2010. Her doctorate was focused on manual therapy techniques which provided her more knowledge and skills in treating various joint and soft tissue injuries. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in physical therapy and graduated cum laude from the University of Santo Tomas, Philippines in 1996. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings including inpatient rehabilitation, sub-acute facilities and outpatient clinics. She is currently focusing in orthopedic and sport rehabilitation. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). | |
 | MARISTELA (MARI) NEVIN, PT Mari earned her bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from the University of Santo Tomas, Philippines in 1997. In 2002, she pioneered in introducing vestibular rehabilitation in Orange County. She is currently the only therapist in the area with the most comprehensive experience in this specialty and has already established an excellent reputation among doctors and other healthcare providers in the Hudson Valley. Her combined skills in vestibular rehabilitation and orthopedics set her apart from other therapists in treating all aspects of balance and dizziness disorders. She is exclusively seeing patients with dizziness and imbalance issues stemming from vestibular, neurologic, age-related and post Concussion injuries. She is a member of the Vestibular Disorders Association (VEDA) and the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). | |
